Biography

Bill Henderson conducts a highly specialized CPA and consulting firm. His practice is limited to business valuation, litigation support and related consulting. Mr. Henderson retired from Henderson & Everett, P.C. in June of 2007, having founded the firm with J. Thomas Everett, III in 1992. Mr. Henderson is now in independent practice.

Mr. Henderson has represented clients before the Internal Revenue Service, state and local taxing authorities. He has performed transactional analysis of business organizations, liquidations, mergers and acquisitions. He has assisted corporate and individual clients in financial structuring and asset and liability management.

Mr. Henderson has performed business valuations for estate and gift tax purposes, buy-sell agreements, stockholder transactions, and for the purpose of equitable distribution.

Mr. Henderson has an undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He established his accounting practice in 1985 after a career in banking in which he served as a commercial lender, operation officer and ultimately as tax officer, preparing the federal income tax returns for a bank holding company based in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Mr. Henderson is a licensed Certified Public Accountant, Accredited in Business Valuation and is Certified in Financial Forensics. He is a Certified Valuation Analyst. He holds a Certified Public Accountant Certificate in Virginia. He is a former member of the Virginia Society of CPAs Litigation Services Committee. He has been selected as a “Super CPA” in the category of Business Valuation/Litigation by Virginia Certified Public Accountants as published by Virginia Business Magazine.

Mr. Henderson formerly served as a director and member of the audit committee of Albemarle First Bank in Charlottesville, Virginia.
